The app is available on iOS and Android devices and lets you manage your refrigerator from anywhere across the globe. It also has a lot of customization options. It also sends you notifications when a door is left open, when the fridge or freezer needs defrosting and when it's time to change the filter.

It would be nice if the GE PYE22PYNFS included Precise fill, an option available in a few other GE fridges that allows you to set the number of cups of water you'd like to dispense at a time. It does have a countdown feature on the display of the fridge to display how much water you have left, but it's not as useful as Precise fill.

Frigidaire Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

This Frigidaire French door refrigerator is a good choice when you're looking for a French door fridge that doesn't break the budget. It's a basic design that's not as visually striking like some of the competitors but it does have enough features to make it a good choice. Its most notable feature is the adjustable temperature drawer helps to keep food like vegetables and meat fresher for longer. It also comes with a huge water and ice maker dispenser.

The "Chill Drawer", which is situated over the two crisper bins, is a nice feature. This drawer allows you to redirect a portion of the refrigerator's cooling power into this area, so that you can keep food items that require extra attention. This feature can be adjusted using a slider on the outside of the drawer. You can also use this to set a general cooling level for the entire fridge, though I've found that adjusting the general settings tends to be more effective than specific ones.

In my tests, I discovered that the temperatures in the refrigerator were fairly consistent across different areas of the refrigerator. The temperatures in the top and bottom of the fridge didn't stray very far from 38 degrees, and the middle of the fridge was within a degree of 36. This is a good performance, but doesn't quite make it to the top of our ratings.
