If you're on a tight budget and don't need a stroller that can double as a car seat carrier, the Babyzen Yoyo is a good choice. It has a flip-flop friendly one-step footbrake.

It's simple to push, and it feels solid when navigating kerbs and woodland paths. It's also easy to fold.

1. Babyzen YOYO2

The Babyzen YOYO2 has earned a name as the ultimate light-weight buggy for jet-setters and city dwellers alike, thanks to its nimble maneuverability and foldable design that can be tucked away in aeroplane overhead luggage. This latest version boasts independent suspension on all four wheels made from Hytrel elastomer to 'perfectly navigate through all kinds of surfaces and terrain'.

The bent fabric bassinet, the base YOYO2 frame and 6+ months colour pack combine to create a chic pushchair that has a soft elegant look. The base frame weighs less than a kilo, and is so lightweight that it is able to be lifted from the box using just one hand.

The hood, for example snaps onto the YOYO2 in a reassuring manner. It is also machine washable at 30 degrees which helps prevent stains caused by smushed rice cakes and carrot puffs. The Newborn Pack and bassinet can be used from birth as an infant stroller. It can also be converted to a stroller by 6 months with the YOYO connect additional chassis.

2. Evenflo Pivot Xplore

Evenflo Pivot Xplore stroller wagon is a great option for parents looking for a versatile stroller. The Evenflo Pivot Xplore can be converted from a stroller to a wagon by simply flipping the handle. Parents can then select which one is the best fit for their journey. The wagon can accommodate one or two children from 6 months to five years old. It comes with a large storage basket that can accommodate all your needs on the go.

The Xplore also comes with two canopies that rotate from front to back, providing ample sun coverage for all family members. It also has a footwell that is not as deep or large as some wagons, so it may not be ideal for longer trips or napping.

The frame of the Xplore wagon feels solid and sturdy, however, it isn't able to bend like other wagons that we tested. It is also more difficult than other wagons to fold, and it isn't able to lock securely when folded. It is easy to move however, and can fit through doors with a width of 28 inches.

3. Delta Children LX Side-by-Side

This bare-bones double stroller from Delta Children is an excellent choice for parents looking for an affordable second stroller for their travels. It scored well in our Strollers and Multiples Test for weight and folded dimensions, which means it's lightweight and compact when folded and easy to move and store in a trunk for your car. It also offers the option of reclining in multiple positions and an adult cup holder. Other features of note include 360-degree shock-absorbing front wheels, as well as two large storage bags that hang from the ceiling.

In our test of the push and turn it performed better than many of the other cheap strollers we test, but it's not the most comfortable to maneuver on uneven terrain or through narrow doorways. The sunshades it has are among the ones we tested the smallest, providing only a direct overhead coverage and no peekaboo windows. The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 has a more extensive canopy.

It took us less than 3 minutes to put together the Delta with a manual. The parts are all non-required and required tools. It is missing certain features we consider essential in double strollers. They include a large basket, reclining seats, and leg rests that can be adjusted.

4. Maxi-Cosi Zelia 2-in-1

The Zelia is Maxi-Cosi's newest pushchair and is marketed as an urban travel system. It can be used from birth until 3.5-years-old. The carrycot and seat can be converted easily with only a few clicks. It can be used with Maxi Cosi capsule car seats. It includes a light Mico 30 infant seat, a car-base that stays in the car and a reversible baby carriage.

The seat can be reclined with one hand, and the large shopping basket makes it easy for parents to take their child in and out. Although it is a small single stroller pushchair, it was able to handle the everyday bumps with ease and was able to pass through doorways without a hitch.

The front wheels can be locked in a forward position or allow them to swivel which can be helpful when crossing rough terrain. We allowed the front wheels to rotate while walking along a stony path. It handled the situation well, even though it felt a little more bumpy.

5. Baby Jogger City Tour 2

Baby Jogger is a household name for their 3-wheeler, all-terrain pushchairs for jogging, but they also make a good range of 4-wheeler strollers. City Tour 2 is their most loved model. It is easy to fold and can fit in the car's boot even with a carrycot attached.

It's a little heavier than other strollers that we tried, but the wheels are rubber composite, so it feels sturdy and durable. It is easy to maneuver across various terrains and even with two children with shopping bags and other things.

Both the seat and the carrycot come with hoods that can be removed to reveal the UV50and sun canopy extension. They are showerproof and sturdy unlike other prams' hoods which get whipped back into toddlers faces.

It's not the biggest of storage space, however it does have a big basket that's deep enough for an infant's changing bag and plenty of food items. You can also use it with a Baby Jogger car seat for infants up 20 lbs (car seat and adapters are sold separately). If you need a stroller that can be taken on the road, the City Tour 2 is an excellent choice.

6. Nuna Mixx Next

Nuna Mixx was a stroller that won the hearts of a lot of parents when it first debuted. It is an aluminium-framed stroller which can be used from infant's first days until. It is a standout model with many unique features, including the capacity of the seat to be turned between the parent and the world, a large UPF50+ canopy with a flip-out eyeshade, and an adjustable handlebar.

The wheels are strong and foam-filled which minimises punctures. The chassis also has built-in suspension which takes the sting out of bumpy terrain. It was simple to push, and our tester was able manoeuvre the vehicle through narrow streets.

It folds automatically and locks in just four steps. It also stands and can be rolled around for easier transportation in the trunk of your car or down the stairs at home. The travel system comes offered with the option of adding an additional car seat or carrycot by using the adaptors that are included. The brakes are simple to use using a single stroller pushchair action colored and flip-flop friendly.

7. Babyzen Duet

This budget pushchair is easy to use and has a fantastic dual suspension. It folds with one hand and comes with a handy carrying strap. It's also very light and durable. The seat can be reclined into many positions and comes with a built-in double breathable mattress that is suitable from birth.

The canopy/seat has two large sun visors, which can be either fixed or flipped out. Both are UPF50+. However the toggle closure isn't perfect it's not as quiet as Velcro and can wake sleepy babies.

The Duet is a side-byside stroller and can be adapted to take twins or siblings (up to 22kg maximum per seat). It is compatible with two infant car seats and even works with a few carrycots. In twin mode the seats can be facing one another or turn around and face parents, theoretically decreasing sibling rivalries over who should sit with dad and mom. It has a huge gear tray, bottle holder snack tray, and an adjustable mat. It also has a superior folding stand that folds down and a frame lock.

8. Baby Jogger Urban Glide 2.

The Thule Urban Glide 2 is a jogger for parents who love to be active. It's among the lightest strollers for running that you can buy for your child. It also has great safety features, like the 5-point safety harness and wrist safety strap. It also has a twist hand brake which is different from the lever type found on competing models.

The seat is padded and provides plenty of space to sit. However the seat's depth is smaller than that of other runners (it's only about 10") The storage bin is encased with a zipper to keep things secure. It can hold up to 10 pounds that is enough for most diaper bags.

The Urban Glide 2 isn't compatible with bassinets for infants or car seats as of yet, but you can use it from day one with the purchase of adapters for the majority of seats made by brands such as BOB, Graco, Combi, Evenflo, Britax, and UPPAbaby. It's easy to fold and put together within 5-10 minutes, without tools. The instruction manual is easy to read and contains a variety of languages.
