1. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni is the latest model in Ecovacs line of robot vacuum-mop hybrids. This wet/dry model is equipped with the latest AIVI 3D2.0 lidar system Ecovacs, which offers enhanced mapping and obstruction-free operation. The system is dual-laser LiDAR -- similar to what you'd find in self-driving cars and is able to scan up to 32 feet wide by 270 degrees. This means more precise mapping and faster response times and higher cleaning accuracy.

It also has an alternating mopping mat made of chenille, making it much easier to scrub hard-to-clean spots than traditional mops. In my testing, the X2 Omni took just over an hour to wash its pad and get to work, and I noticed it was more precise than previous models that seemed to follow a gridded route around rooms. It was capable of navigating my room's with its corners and edges as well as create an "Zambani pattern" up and down the center of the room. It returned to its OMNI Station regularly to empty the dust bin and clean the mop using hot water, before starting another cleaning task.

Like other Ecovacs products the X2 Omni is a breeze to set up and start using. Simply snap the dock into place then plug it in and pair it with your home WiFi network. It takes only a few minutes. You can then launch the app to start your first cleaning project. I was able to dive into the settings and customize my floor plan within about 15 minutes, incorporating zones that are restricted for mopping and sweeping and reworking my furniture placements, and more. The X2 Omni performed impressively during my tests, scoring excellent scores for debris removal and pet hair cleaning and near-perfect results for edge and crevice cleaning.

2. Deebot T10 Omni

The EcoVACS T10 Omni is an extremely powerful mopping and vacuum cleaner. It is the most advanced of the T-line offered by the brand and features the brand new OZMO Turbo2.0 mopping system that utilizes a dual-spinning brush for superior cleaning than traditional scrubbing. It also has YIKO built-in, a unique natural language processing technology that can respond to a range of voice commands. The ECOVACS App lets you map your house, create cleaning schedules and modify settings.

The main drawback of the T10 Omni is that it can't switch from mopping to vacuuming in one go. The two modes require that you attach and take off the mop heads according to the need, which is fine for most homes, but not suitable for people who lead busy lives.

However, the Deebot T10 Omni is a superb robot vacuum that has impressive results in our pet hair tests. It vacuumed up more than 96% of the particles we threw at it on our hardwood floors and floors, which is a remarkable performance. It was a success on tiles and carpets and removed the majority of dirt.

This robot mop and vacuum has a large docking station that offers cool water cleaning for the mop pads, auto-emptying into a 3L disposable bag that is easy to replace, and hot-air drying for quick and simple maintenance. It also has a huge water tank that permits more frequent rinses and dries between mopping runs.

As with other mopping robots such as the Deebot T10, this one features a wash tray in its base that cleans and dries the mop pads as it utilizes them. It does not have a removable tray so dirt, dust and other grime will slowly build up at the bottom.

3. RoboVac X8 hybrid

This is the first mopping model made by Anker that is renowned for its robot vacuums. It has enhanced smarts, multiple map support and LIDAR scanning, as well as twin turbine suction technology that adjusts to the floor you're cleaning. It's a tempting mid-range robot vacuum cleaner, even if it doesn't meet its promise of being a one-stop shop for floor cleaning.

The X8 Hybrid appears to be a standard robotic cleaner from the top. It is a circular design with sweeper wheels and a raised sensor area. Its mapping system is reasonably sophisticated that allows you to create no-mop zones as well as specific cleaning zones. It is prone to bumping into things such as its charging station, and isn't great at navigating over carpets. It was effective in picking up pet hair vacuum with pet-safe materials hair from bare floors. In our tests it picked up 89.5 percent of kitty litter.

While it's controllable via the app it's also controllable via the app. X8 Hybrid also comes with physical buttons on its base, which allow you to choose the cleaning mode and turn the robot on/off. Additionally, you can use these to set no-go zones and view real-time maps. It's also a bit chatty and will inform you of what it's going to do next (start cleaning) or alert you if something is wrong.

4. ILIFE A4s

This high-tech vacuum model can remove pet hair, kibble and other debris with great effectiveness. It also maneuvers perfectly around furniture legs. It also has an impressive feature set that includes two cleaning modes and a self-emptying dock and real-time obstacle avoidance technology. The Wi-Fi enabled device can be operated via the Neato App where cleaning schedules are set and maintenance requirements are monitored. The X2 Omni is an excellent option for homes with a large hardwood carpet and flooring, however it requires some planning ahead to avoid getting stuck by toys, power cords or other obstacles that might be unexpected.

The robot performed well in our tests of hardwood floors and food particles. It was able to pick up everything from one rice grain to a variety of dog food pieces, with only one swipe. It had some trouble transitioning to rugs, however, this vacuum cleaner is ideal for large rooms with flooring of all kinds and a mix of pets.

The A4s Pro is expensive however it's a great option for those who wish to be able to leave the house without hands so that they can do other things or take care chores. The A4s Pro also offers a convenient auto cleaning mode that boosts suction power to handle tough spills and dirt and includes an electric ElectroWall that allows you to define boundaries where the best robot vacuum and mop for dog hair isn't allowed to be allowed to enter.

This budget-friendly choice from a well-known brand is the cheapest model we've ever tested and provides an outstanding value for money. Its basic navigation system uses a super-basic random pathing algorithm and lacks room mapping capabilities, which makes it less efficient than the other models on this list. However, it's still able to get under furniture and into corners, and its mopping mode was very effective in our testing it picked up pet hair and other debris easily.

5. Shark iQ

Shark's iQ may not be as durable, but it is better in removing pet hair from all surfaces. It gets rid of floors with less efficiently and does a decent job on carpets with a low pile, and it makes use of smart-pathing navigational technology for superior maneuverability. It can be sent to a specific area, and includes a variety of advanced automation features including no-go zones and schedules. It also allows you to suspend and resume cleaning sessions which is ideal for homes that have pets.

The self-cleaning brushroll eliminates tangles and can hold up to 30 days of dirt. It also comes with a set of side brushes that are angled to dig deep into corners, and its multi-stage filtration system captures dust, dander, and allergens for cleaner air.

This robot vacuum is well-built and feels solid. It is compatible with a smartphone application that lets you change the settings of your vacuum and schedule cleaning times ahead of time. The app allows you to check the remaining battery life of the iQ and receive push notifications in the event of any problems during a cleaning session. You can also control it using your voice with an Amazon Alexa device or Google Assistant device. If you don't own either of these devices you can mark out areas with physical boundary markers strips.

The iQ is good in cleaning floors with no dirt and is able to do a decent job on shaggy and low-pile carpets. However it's not able to provide the same level of autonomy as our top choices. It's also expensive and its monthly costs can be quite costly.
