Some models are hard to attach or remove from the base, though. The Doona Combo, for example requires a two-step attachment procedure and straps that are placed over the infant's bottom portion. It's tempting to bypass these steps, but this could result in dangerous outcomes.

In the same way some models are hard to fold and store away making them less practical than other. Graco FastAction 3 in 1 Car Seat Stroller is difficult to fold because of its massive dimensions and bulky frames. The model also has a small canopy, which some users find disappointing. On the other hand the Britax Parkway Click and Go Combo is easy to fold using the pull of a lever and a snap of the button. Easy to Fold

It should be simple to fold and unfold the car seat, whether you're storing it in your trunk, or in the closet. The best 2 in 1 pushchair combinations we've tested feature a simple one-handed fold that is compact and durable enough to be used for long walks. They're also easy to maneuver, moving smoothly over uneven surfaces and bumps. We've seen some combos that can only be joined or disengaged using straps which can be a hassle and make it difficult for parents to secure the car seat properly.

The BOB Revolution Flex Combo is a fantastic choice due to its robust construction and practical features, including a large storage bin that can be accessed from either the front or back. Both come with one front wheel that's simple to push (one-handed! Both have one front wheel that is easy to push (one-handed!). They also have a movable swing wheel, which is ideal for running errands and shopping. The only downside is that they're quite heavy and therefore it's difficult to lift them up when carrying children in the car seat.

Easy to Assemble

Some stroller and car seat combinations are difficult to put together. The UPPAbaby Cruz v2 Combo is one of the easiest travel systems to put together. It even comes with a helpful guide. Other models we looked at like the UPPAbaby Minu, UPPAbaby Vista v2, Thule Urban Glide 2 and Baby Trend Snap-N-Go EX Universal were also relatively easy to assemble. In contrast the BOB Revolution Flex 3.0 Combo is difficult to assemble because it requires two steps: connecting the lower anchors and using straps that are placed over the bottom of the carrier. It's also heavy, and it takes two hands to click the carrier into the base, then detach it from there.

In our tests, it took us about 5 minutes to put the UPPAbaby Cruz v2 together, which is quite quick when you consider the time it saves by not having to remove all of the individual pieces. Most of these models have an easy method of attaching and removing the toddler seat, but there are other options as well.
