It has a sleek, fingerprint-resistant stainless-steel finish and features thick handles that make them comfortable to grip. The fridge has a standard French door design, with two rows of spill-capture shelving and a set crisper drawers. The top shelf on the right can be folded down to give tall items more room. You'll also find a full width deli drawer and an internal water dispenser.

This refrigerator is equipped with an ice maker, making it easy to transfer the frozen ice whenever you need it. The freezer also features thoughtful design features, like sliding drawers that can help you organize your items. It also has a large container to store frozen food items, and a separate bin for ice.

Smart InstaView panel is a cool feature of the refrigerator. It lets you control the fridge's temperature and lighting via your smartphone. It's a nice method of monitoring and managing your refrigerator, especially when you're away from home.

The Smart InstaView feature is neat however it doesn't enhance the performance of the fridge. This fridge took longer to chill food and defrost it than some others we test. This could be due to its larger capacity.

Another issue with the door of this refrigerator. They have handles that are sunken on the front, which allow smaller people to pull them open from the bottom, but they're still difficult for taller people to guide closed without slamming them. It would have been much better if they came with a front-mounted handles.

The LG Counter-Depth MAX fridge is an excellent choice for those who want to combine the look of a French door refrigerator with a more efficient design. Its capacity is superior for a counter-depth model and it cools evenly and has a good layout. It's also less expensive than the best counter depth refrigerators that have an icemaker, which makes it a desirable choice.

Frigidaire Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

If you're looking for an French door fridge that doesn't cost a fortune, this Frigidaire is a solid option. It's a simple fridge which may not be as eye-catching like some of its competitors however, it does have enough features to make a good option. Its most notable characteristic is the adjustable temperature drawer, which helps keep foods like veggies and meat fresher for longer. It also comes with a large ice maker as well as a water dispenser.

Another nice feature is the "Chill Drawer" that sits over the two crisper bins. This drawer lets you redirect part of the fridge's cooling power directly to this area, so you can put away food items that require special attention. You can alter this feature using the slider located on the on the outside of the drawer. You can also set the general cooling settings for the entire fridge. I've noticed that the general settings are more effective than the specific ones.

In my tests, the refrigerator's temperatures stayed fairly consistent across different areas of the refrigerator. The temperatures in the top and bottom of the fridge didn't vary much from 38 degrees, and the middle of the fridge was within one degree of 36. This is a pretty good performance however it doesn't make it into the top ten in our ratings.

This fridge has a few other neat features, including a temperature-monitoring display that alerts you to fluctuations and provides a forecast for the day ahead. This fridge can be paired with a smart thermostat to obtain more precise readings of the internal temperature of your fridge.

The exterior of the Frigidaire is made of gray-bodied stainless with a "smudge resistant" finish. It repels fingerprints and streaks better than other stainless steel finishes I've tried.
